In the June 2026 issue of Simile, Dr. Amalia “Molly” Punzo makes a clear and timely case for something homeopathy urgently needs: more well-documented case reports.
Her article, “Making the Case for Case Reports: Why case reports matter — and how they shape the future of homeopathy,” speaks directly to practitioners who are already doing meaningful clinical work, but may not yet see their cases as part of the profession’s evidence base.
Case reports have always been central to homeopathy. They show not only what happened in a case, but how the practitioner thought: the totality, remedy differentiation, posology, follow-up, and interpretation of response over time.
Molly also points to modern reporting tools — including CARE, HOM-CASE, and MONARCH — that can help practitioners turn strong cases into clearer, more useful contributions to the field.
We invite you to read Molly’s full article below or download it here.
This is exactly the kind of work the Institute for the Advancement of Homeopathy wants to support through our Practitioner Generated Research Network, or PGRN. The PGRN helps practitioners become more research-ready and gives them a way to contribute to the future of homeopathy without needing to become full-time researchers.
If you have a strong, well-documented case, we would like to hear from you. You do not need to have a finished manuscript. You need a meaningful case, clear notes, and a willingness to learn the process.
Practitioners with cases that may be suitable for publication are encouraged to contact:
