We’re pleased to announce a new publication from the Institute for the Advancement of Homeopathy’s research team in the European Journal of Integrative Medicine.
Compiled and submitted by our research team in collaboration with Colombian medical homeopath Juan Carlos Gamba, the case report documents the clinical progress of a 59-year-old woman with cerebellar ataxia and MRI-documented cerebellar atrophy.
The patient had experienced six years of progressive walking instability, with increasing difficulty navigating stairs and uneven surfaces. Despite neurological care and multidisciplinary rehabilitation, her symptoms had continued to worsen.
Following individualized homeopathic treatment, the patient reported approximately 50% improvement in gait stability within one month. She could climb stairs without a cane, using a handrail for support, and her speech difficulties and sensation of tongue heaviness had resolved.
Improvements in balance, coordination, and functional mobility were sustained over approximately 22 months of follow-up.
The case report also documents noteworthy neuroimaging findings. The authors discuss the differences in imaging methods and interpretation in the full report.
The sustained clinical improvements, documented functional gains, and longitudinal follow-up provide a valuable contribution to the published literature and a basis for further systematic investigation.
